Updating from GeoNetwork 3.10 to GeoNetwork 3.12 is a minor upgrade and may be performed in place.

Upgrade from GeoNetwork 2.10 to GeoNetwork 3.12

Upgrading from GeoNetwork 2.10 to GeoNetwork 3.12 is a major upgrade.

We do not recommend updating a production system. Instead treat this as a migration, setting up a new GeoNetwork 4.0 installation and transfer data and settings.
